Several Air India, IndiGo flights cancelled today

Passengers flying in and out of India continue to face widespread disruptions, with several international flights cancelled or not operating on June 18th.

As of Wednesday, at least seven international flights, mostly departing from Delhi and Mumbai, have either been cancelled or marked non-operational.

Over the weekend, a San Francisco–Mumbai service was held up in Kolkata, while a Hong Kong–Delhi Dreamliner had to return to its origin shortly after take-off.

Earlier on Tuesday noon, the new AI159 service from Ahmedabad to London, introduced after retiring the AI171 number, was also cancelled.

These cancellations have added to passenger frustration, with many international travellers reporting last-minute notifications, inadequate alternative arrangements, and long wait times at customer assistance desks.

While some disruptions appear to stem from direct technical concerns, others may be related to fleet availability, crew readiness, or aircraft grounding.

Air India passengers are very upset due to the cancellation of flights. Many passengers said that they got information about the cancellation of the flight at the last moment.

No alternative arrangements were made for them. They had to wait for a long time at the customer assistance desk.
